If you've downloaded this guide, you've already taken the most important step. You've decided your next chapter matters.
When I left publishing after more than forty years, I wasn't entirely sure what came next. Like many people, I wondered whether I still had something worthwhile to contribute.
The good news is that I soon discovered retirement isn't the end of learning—it's often the beginning of an exciting new adventure.
That's why I created this Starter Kit.
It's not designed to overwhelm you.
It's designed to help you take one small step every day.
By the time you've finished these thirty days, you'll have more confidence with technology, a better understanding of AI and several practical ideas for creating new opportunities.
Let's begin. You're in exactly the right place.

It's the beginning of a chapter that you get to write yourself." For many years retirement followed a familiar pattern. People worked hard, collected their pension, enjoyed a few holidays, spent time with family and gradually slowed down. That model worked well for many people. But the world has changed.
We're living longer.
Technology has transformed almost every aspect of life. New opportunities appear every day. Many of us retire while we're still full of energy, ideas and curiosity. Yet society often tells us that retirement is a time to step back. I couldn't disagree more.
I believe retirement is a chance to step forward. Not into another career necessarily. But into a different way of living.
A life where learning replaces routine. Where curiosity replaces pressure. Where purpose replaces deadlines. When I was made redundant after more than forty years in publishing, I could easily have accepted that my working life was over.
Instead, I decided to ask myself one question. "What if this is the beginning of something new?" That question changed everything. It led me to build a website.
To learn Artificial Intelligence.
To create digital products. To write again.
To connect with people all over the world.
None of those things happened because I had a perfect plan. They happened because I was willing to take one small step.
And that's exactly what this workbook is designed to help you do.
I'd like you to remember something. This isn't a race.
You're not competing with anyone else. You're simply becoming a little more confident than you were yesterday. Some days you'll complete the task in ten minutes.
Some days you'll become fascinated and spend an hour exploring.
Both are perfectly fine. The only rule is this: Keep moving forward.
Even if you only learn one new thing today, you're already further ahead than you were yesterday. Tony's Tip Confidence doesn't arrive before you begin. It arrives because you begin.
This is where the workbook really comes to life. Instead of reading about confidence, you're going to build it. One day at a time.
One small action at a time.
No pressure.
No rush.
Just steady progress.
Over the next 30 days you'll take practical steps that help you become more comfortable with technology, more confident using AI and more aware of the opportunities available in today's digital world.
Each day's task has been designed to take around 20–30 minutes.
Some will take less.
A few might inspire you to spend longer.
That's perfectly fine.
The important thing isn't how quickly you complete the challenge.
The important thing is that you keep moving forward.
By the end of the month you'll have achieved far more than you imagine.
